A strategic work for our Country, an international engineering challenge

The Genoa Environmental Observatory is responsible for overseeing the compliance of the A7-A10-A12 road and motorway junction adaptation project with environmental regulations. It assists the Italian Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of Land and Sea in ensuring that the project meets environmental conditions, manages excavated materials properly, and carries out effective mitigation actions. Additionally, the observatory ensures transparency and information dissemination about these activities. The Observatory includes representation from the Liguria Region, the City of Genoa, ARPA Liguria, and the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea.

The observatory is active throughout the construction of the new infrastructure and performs the following functions:
