Description of the project

The project has regarded the upgrade of the Dalmine junction at km 168+300 on the A4 motorway on the Milan-Bergamo section. A new entry ramp for the toll station has been built and the existing ramp for traffic exiting from the station and heading on to the local road network has been upgraded. The aim is to increase the permeability of the infrastructure and reduce interference with local roads.
The initiative involved the municipalities of Dalmine and Stezzano in the province of Bergamo and is of major importance for local industry and the economy of the area, one of the most densely industrialised areas in Italy and Europe.
The work was completed with the inauguration of the new junction on 21 February 2025.

Community initiatives
These initiatives, financed and designed by Autostrade per l'Italia, regard the planting of vegetation around the ramps:

  • the installation of noise absorbent barriers where receptors are located;
  • construction of part of a cycleway.
